CUPE Education Assistants Survey

On behalf of CUPE BC, CUPE Local 606 is asking all Education Assistants, Aboriginal Education Assistants and Child, Youth and Family Support Workers to complete a survey which focuses on the issue of unpaid work performed routinely and on a voluntary basis. This information is essential for the Bargaining Committees.

Please compete this survey at the following website:

www.bceducationassistants.ca

The survey is easy to navigate and should only take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Please complete this time sensitive survey by May 30, 2008. If you do not have access to a computer, please contact the CUPE Local 606 office by phoning (250) 729-0842 for assistance in responding to this survey. Link to PDF of full Memo distributed to worksites.

Take the alternate media challenge to see what your favorite news source is censoring. The challenge is very simple. Just read the stories from the "Labour Start" RSS news feed shown below. Then in the course of watching or reading your favourite news source, see how many of the following stories you can spot. Also note if pictures or video of violence increase the odds of a story being covered.
